New Coeur d' Alene business news - May 18th 2012

Thrift stores and Flea Markets continue to pop up all over the Coeur d' Alene / Post Falls area,here are the newest...

Down from the Attic Thrift has opened in Post Falls,Down from the Attic is located in the Whistle Stop Shopping Center on Seltice Way in the end space formerly occupied by In Control Hobbies.

The space that was the Paris Flea Market in the 800 block of N 4th St in Midtown Coeur d' Alene has re-opened as a new flea market. The new CDA Flea Market is currently celebrating their grand opening.The space was to be demolished for a low-income apartment building but those plans have since been put on hold following complaints from the Midtown residents.

If your looking for the prior business at the CDA Flea Market space, The Paris Flea Market is still in Coeur d' Alene,in fact they too are celebrating a grand opening at their new space farther up N 4th in the same strip mall as Fasteners Inc. and the Hospice of North Idaho Thrift Store.

Treasures & Pleasures is a new thrift and consignment store now open farther north in Coeur d' Alene. They can be found at 3655 N Goverment Way

Also happening in the Coeur d' Alene area...

Major renovations are coming soon to the Coeur d' Alene Target store on Canfield Ave. by the intersection of Canfield and Hwy 95. Construction will start in early summer to give the Target store a new look and add a Grocery area to the store. The new Coeur d' Alene Target should be done by fall and will now include Groceries, a produce department and a meat department. Target also similarly remodeled their Northpointe store near The Y in Spokane.

Forest Steel , who's main business is steel sales has been bought out by Great Falls,Montana based Pacific Steel & Recycling . Pacific Steel will continue to run the Coeur d' Alene site located on N Goverment Way near the intersection of Goverment Way and Aqua Cir. but now under the Pacific name.

The Kyle Lindley Insurance Agency  has re-opened in Post Falls. The insurance office is now located in the office building at 3000 E. Seltice Way near the Putt-Putt Golf Course.

The new Sage Coffee Boutique is opening in Hayden. The shop is located in the Hayden Creek Shopping Center near Government Way and Prarie Ave.


After just a brief closure the Post Falls location of  Curves has re-opened now in the Whistle Stop Plaza on Seltice Way near the Post Office. 


Tapenyaki (Spelling?) has found a new home in Post Falls with the grand opening this last week of Fu-Ki Japanese Steak House. The new restaurant is officially open and located in the former Post Falls Arby's at the corner of Seltice and Bay St. by the Trading Co. Grocery Store.

The Jewelry and Wine retailer Studio 107 has moved but remained in Downtown Coeur d' Alene. Studio 107 can now be found at 503 E. Sherman in the former Barrel Room No. 6 Wine Bar space.

Jump For Joy Indoor Play Center has now opened in Coeur d' Alene. The new business provides bounce houses and attractions in one spot for the kids of Coeur d' Alene. Jump For Joy can be found at 250 W. Dalton Ave by George Gee Kia and near Hwy 95.

R and R Heating and Cooling has a new home in Hayden. The businesses newest office is located in the small strip mall next to the Hayden Domino's Pizza on Hess St.

KC Creations who sell magnetic jewelry for the health benefits provided by magnets,have opened their new store inside the Integrative Wellness Center at 579 W. Hayden Ave. behind Rustlers Roost.

Green Light Motors has now opened their sales center and moved cars onto their site on Northwest Blvd.  near Hubbard Ave. and North Idaho College in Coeur d' Alene.

-Also watch for Coeur d' Alene's Roosevelt Inn on Gordon Ramsay's new show Hotel Hell . I'm told the Roosevelt will be among the first episodes,with an air date sometime in June.
