This summer there has been no shortage of new resturants opening in the Spokane / Coeur d' Alene area. Here is a look at some of what's new....
Blackjack Lil's Saloon & Grill
Last weekend was the grand opening for the newest establishment on Hauser Lake north of Post Falls in North Idaho.
Blackjack Lil's is both a bar and restaurant with a lakeside location. The business is located at 11304 N. Cliff House Road in Hauser.
Gear n' Cog Bistro
The Gear n' Cog Bistro is currently fundraising to open their new restaurant in the small town of Garfield,Wa. . The business , like many others , is turning to the internet to raise enough to open via Kickstarter.com .
Some of the funding is already secure and should the remaining funds be found the Gear n' Cog is hopeing to be open by October.
The planned site for the restaurant is 216 W. California St in Garfield.
Elmer's
The Coeur d' Alene location of the Elmer's restaurant chain is on the move. Elmer's which is currently next door to Red Lobster at the corner of US 95 and Neider will re located and re open in the former Perkin's Resturant space at 290 W. Appleway next door to the LaQunita Inn Hotel.
The new Elmer's space will be similar in size to the current location and will open to the public in late August or September. A couple of additional employees will also be hired for the new location.
No official word as of now with what will go into the current Elmer's building however it doesn't look like it will stay vacant, watch for more.
Evergreen Bistro
Evergreen Bistro is the latest addition to the North Spokane dining scene. The restuant officially opened in early Aug. and features pizzas and traditional bistro style fare with an extensive beer and wine selection including many local beer and wine options.
Evergreen Bistro is located at 1902 W. Francis Ave in Northwest Spokane.
Froyo Earth
Self serve frozen yogurt shops are everywhere in Spokane these day's , and all seem to be doing at least brisk business but one Spokane frozen yogurt shop is growing into a mini chain with another new location opening very soon.
The latest Froyo Earth is located in Cheney nearby the EWU campus. The new store can be found by the intersection of First Ave. and W. Beltz Rd.
Pho City
Where Saltorini's Greek Resturant once was near The Parkade in Downtown Spokane is now the newest place in Spokane to get Vietnamese food like Pho , as the businesses name would imply.
Pho City has been open for only a little while and is located at 112 N. Howard St in Downtown Spokane.
