Not long ago we reported of a possible large expansion at Liberty Lake's Meadowwood Technology Campus that was only waiting on a lease signing for a large national office tenant. We are now happy to report that the pending lease has been signed and the expansion will now move forward. And that tenant is already quite familiar to the space.
The new office building, that will be built at Meadowwood will be occupied by Liberty Mutual Insurance which is already a tenant in the office park taking up just over 100,000 square feet of all office space inside the Meadowwood One building which is , as of right now, the only building at the campus.
Liberty Mutual Insurance uses it's space as a call center primarily, although it's not for sure known as to what all uses will be housed in the new space. Liberty Mutual has been a part of the Liberty Lake community for some time now with the company once located in the space that is now Vivint's sales call center near the corner of Appleway and Liberty Lake Rd. . Liberty Mutual intends to keep it's current office space open and staffed with the new 64,000 square feet building being used as an expansion.
The new building will house about 400 employees once open. Construction on the new building is expected to start as early as next week and as long as all goes according to plan the company will move into the new space in the Spring of next year.
Below is the original posting from earlier with a better description of the new office building:
Large expansion possible soon at Meadowwood Technology Campus
Liberty Lake's Meadowwood Technology Campus may soon be the site of a large expansion with the addition of a new second office building.
Ever since the locally based Greenstone Commercial ( a division of Greenstone Homes, Inc. ) took over the massive former home of Agilent Technologies a couple of years ago , Greenstone had planned to someday expand the new office campus with more buildings and more office space. In fact Greenstone has plans for 2 more buildings to be called Meadowwood Two and Meadowwood Three.
And while plans for the Meadowwood Two building project seems to still be not on the books for the near future, we have learned construction on Meadowwood Three should begin soon and that Greenstone is currently in talks with a large tenant that is expected to sign a lease at the campus soon.
The new tenant has yet to be named but it has been confirmed as an office tenant in a financial services industry. It is expected this un-named company will lease the new purposed building in it's entirety.
As far as the new building itself , plans call for a 2 story structure covering about 2 acres of land with 64,000 square feet of Class A office space and a $4 million price tag. The new building would be built on land that is directly to the South of the current main building. Building permits have already been filed and approved by the City of Liberty Lake but won't be activated until a lease is signed on the new space. News on that lease is expected within a month.
