The newly reconstructed strip shopping center at 1330 N. Argonne Rd. is finally filling up and after grand opening festivities this weekend the center will get a bit sweeter. That's because 2 new businesses with a focus on all things sweet have joined the tenant list.
Grand Opening's will be held October 25th thru 27th for the Spokane Valley Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Pete & Belle's Ice Cream Shop. Both of which are opening in Suite C of the plaza which is anchored by a new Ace Hardware location which has itself only been open for a few months. The plaza was originally the home of Spear's Furnishings before a portion of the building was destroyed in a snow storm a couple of years back.
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory location at the Argonne site is a relocated store as RMCF has had a location in Spokane Valley for the last few years. That location was on N. Sulivan Rd. about midway between Broadway and E. Sprague Ave. RMCF also operates a small kiosk style store under the escalator at River Park Square in Downtown Spokane. The Downtown store remains open in the same space.

The other new sweet business now open at the plaza is brand new to Spokane Valley. That business is Pete & Belle's Ice Cream Shop. Pete & Belle's Ice Cream Shop's name pretty much says it all as the new business is a full Ice Cream shop. And it's the variety of Ice Cream's that will no drought have more then a few returning customers. Pete & Belle's serves up 48 different flavors of " super premium " ice cream.
The new ice cream shop features ice cream in cones, sundaes , shakes and floats. And for those special occasion's the business offers ice cream cakes ( ice cream cakes can be made in any of the store's 48 flavors! ) and hand packed pints and quarts. Iced coffee and smoothies are also on the long menu list at Pete & Belle's .
