Professional Home Care Training Center opens in Spokane Valley
A new business, now open in Spokane Valley, is assisting those with an interest in providing home care to the elderly and those who need additional assistance. The percentage of the population that's in need of home care has grown exponentially in recent years, and jobs providing that care can often offer decent pay and are almost always easy to find.
Anyone with an interest in providing care, this may be your time. And, the new Professional Home Care Training Center may be the place to help you enter that field.

Halpin's was a Spokane Valley institution with decades invested in the community. In fact Halpin's opened for business in 1940 and at the final location in 1949. Sadly, Halpin's closed their doors earlier this year, that closure was covered here on Inland Northwest Business Watch over the Summer, more on that here- http://www.inlandnwbusiness.com/2013/07/spokane-valley-icon-halpins-pharmacy.html
But, the old Halpin's space won't be empty long...

Renovations wrapping up at 121 W. Pacific, Downtown Spokane.
Pacific Ave. south of the railroad tracks in Downtown Spokane is probably one the most historic sections of the entire city. But yet it's often overlooked, and a lot of times the home a significant homeless population. But this blogger is also a bit of history buff, and neighborhoods like the area around Pacific and the nearby Intermodal Center( train / bus station ) are the kind of locales I think we need to preserve.
And, although the area hasn't always seen many revitalization attempts, things are defiantly looking up. With one project in particular.
