It's been a part of the Downtown Coeur d' Alene skyline for several years, housing the world headquarters to Coeur d' Alene Mines . But just like the changes that have come to the mining company, changes are also likely for the former HQ building itself.
Coeur d' Alene Mines recently re branded and renamed their business Coeur Mining . As part of the changes, Coeur Mining also closed down their long time operations in Coeur d' Alene, moving the company's home offices to Chicago.
Coeur Mining is now located at 104 S. Michigan Ave. in the heart of Downtown Chicago. And, now more info is staring to come out as to what will happen to the companies former home here locally. The building is located at 505 Front Ave across from McEuen Park and currently has a significant amount of office space. As of posting time some Coeur Mining employees remain in the building but will soon finish consolation with the offices in Chicago.
As of now it's unclear as of exact plans, or a new name for 505 Front Ave. . However we do now know the building has been sold and is now owned by Jack Riggs of Coeur d' Alene who is also the CEO of Pita Pit.
Although the building does now have a connection to the Pita Pit chain the building's purchase is not for a new HQ for Pita Pit. However Riggs does say in a recent article in the Coeur d' Alene Press that some Pita Pit offices may move into the building at some point due to that companies "rapid growth".
As of now, it is believed at least a portion if not all of the structure will remain office space. But confirmation and any potential tenant names have yet to be announced.
