We now have an opening date for the new Target big box store, under construction now on the South Hill. I must first admit however, before announcing it, I don't get to the neighborhood around this store too often. So, some of this info is coming from the South Hill Target Facebook page. The new Target store now has a banner posted indicating a grand opening for the store on Sunday July 27th, 2014.
As far a hiring for the many open positions at the store, nothing has started yet but the initial press release announcing the new store indicates hiring and job fairs starting about 2 months prior to the stores opening. If this holds true hiring may start around May.
The new Target store on the South Hill is planned to be a part of the new Regal Plaza shopping center at the corner of Regal and Palouse Hwy. For more information on the store itself check out this prior INBW posting-
