Natural Grocers , a Colorado based chain of stores that is part of the Vitamin Cottage brand. The new store features grocery items including organic meats and organic produce. The store also offers a wide variety of vitamin's and supplements including their own private store brand.
The new Coeur d' Alene Natural Grocers store is about 16,000 square feet with 25 - 30 employees. The store also will have a classroom for occasional classes , cooking demos and free wifi.
The store is on the site of a former Elmer's Resturant near the intersection of US 95 and Neider Ave. The store's address is 222 W. Neider Ave and is behind the Red Lobster Restaurant. The store's building is brand new as Elmer's relocated to Appleway after their restaurant was demolished late last year .
Currently, the Coeur d' Alene location is the only local site for the Natural Grocers chain with no Spokane locations planned, at least not for now. The chain, however is expanding with several new locations in the works around the US.
