I just realized I'm quite a bit behind on posting the newest local restaurant news on here. So, here is what I know of what is happening restaurant wise in the Spokane / Coeur d' Alene area....
The Handle Bar, Spokane Valley
The Handle Bar is a biker themed bar and grill located at 12005 E. Trent Ave in Spokane Valley. The business is new and now open. However, for some the name may sound familiar because the business was actually open for a time in 2012 at another Valley location. That building, however was destroyed by a fire in Nov. 2012.
The Handle Bar , of course has a bar but also a full menu of breakfast , lunch and dinner items. The business is also directly affiliated with Hell Yeah Cycles, a motorcycle shop that is also now open at the same Trent Ave. location.
Crazy G's, Spokane
Crazy G's Burgers , Philly's & Dogs has been in business just north of Downtown Spokane for the last few years. However, despite a decent following and even a couple of awards for their burgers the business has closed their doors.
Crazy G's was at 821 N. Division next door to the Jewelry Design Center.

North Idaho's mini chain of drive in style fast food restaurant has now opened their fifth store location this time in Rathdrum. The new Rathdrum Paul Bunyan location is in the former home of Burger Haven at 13735 W. Hwy. 53. This location is also home to a new pizza restaurant from the same owners as Paul Bunyan. That new business is called Tara's Pizza Co. .
Flying Pig, Spokane
The Flying Pig isn't new as the small locally owned and operated shop which specializes in sandwiches and espresso has been a part of the Spokane International District ( E. Sprague, east of Downtown ) for a few years now. But late last year the business expanded and opened The Pig's Pub onto the existing business.
The Pig's Pub at The Flying Pig offers the full menu as well as beer , wine and cocktails . The pub space is located inside the former Rainbow Tavern , which closed a couple of years ago after creating a less then desirable reputation over it's many years of operation.
The Flying Pig and The Pig's Pub can both be found at 1822 E. Sprague Ave.
Chicago Beef Co, North Spokane
Now open and recently added as a duel brand to the existing Mr. Wok Chinese restaurant is Chicago Beef Co.
Chicago Beef Co. is a exciting new addition to the Spokane quick and casual dining scene. The business sells several specialty hot dogs all made out of Vienna Beef hot dogs. The business becomes the first outlet for the popular Vienna Beef brand in Spokane. Only one other business in the Inland Northwest sells Vienna Beef, Joey T's Taste of Chicago in Rathdrum.
Chicago Beef Co. is located at 9222 N. Newport Hwy.
