Big changes are in store at a local favorite eatery, that's also planning to open a second restaurant just a short trip away from their current location.
Stella's Café at 917 W. Broadway, north of Downtown Spokane isn't going anywhere. But they are going to changes some things up a bit. Stella's has lacked a full kitchen set up since their opening, with that the business has struggled to expand beyond sandwiches. And because of this Stella's Café will be re branding to make the business primarily a sandwich shop, that will also server beer and wine.
But Stella's owners are still expanding with the opening of a brand new full service restaurant that promises to have a full kitchen and bar included. That new restaurant will be called Ruins and will be located in the former Top Notch Café space at 825 N. Monroe, also just north of Downtown.
The new Ruins restaurant will take a little while before it opens as the space will be remodeled to fit the needs of the newly created business. Stella's / Ruins has also brought on cocktail master Crystal Bertholic to create a new bar menu for the new restaurant.
The Breakfast menu that Stella's had previously attempted will be moved over to Ruins once that space opens. Ruins will also have later hours and due to the changes there will be some changes of hours of operation at Stella's as well. The new hours will be ( per Stella's Facebook page )-
Stella's: Monday thru Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM (starting March 24th)
Ruins: Wednesday thru Saturday 4 PM to 12 AM, Sunday 8 AM to 3 PM.
