Maryhill Winery's first tasting room outside of their Columbia Gorge home is almost complete and will be open for business in just a couple more weeks. That new tasting room will be here in Spokane in the heart of the Kendall Yards business district. The Winery will be the first tenant to open in the new " bluff building " at 1303 W. Summit Pkwy and they will eventually be joined by a Umi Sushi and Fleet Feet Sports in the same building.
Maryhill Winery's Spokane tasting room will be a 5000 square foot space with high quality, affordable wines and a food menu of locally procured small bites all served in the space that features an expansive balcony and 180 degree views of the Spokane River. The cool looking modern building that Maryhill will call home was even designed locally by Uptic Studios.
Founded in 1999, Maryhill Winery has grown to be one of Washington's largest wineries, producing over 80,000 cases annually. The Wineries original site in Goldendale,WA even has a 4000 seat concert venue and that location as whole draws more than 75,000 visitors each year. Maryhill Winery's founders Craig & Vicki Leuthold are both Spokane natives.
The new Spokane tasting room will officially open to the public on Nov 18th with a grand opening celebration the entire weekend of Nov 18th and 19th. During the grand opening weekend guests can sample Maryhill Winery's wines and enjoy live music from blues and soul recording artist Matt Brown. Also, Molly Allen from the "Dave, Ken and Molly" show on 92.9 KZZU will be broadcasting live from the new tasting room on Nov 18th from 5-7 pm.
During the grand opening the tasting room will be open 12-9 on the 18th and 12-8 on the 19th. After the grand opening the tasting room will be open 12-8 daily and the space can event be rented for private events.
