Watch for a new addition to Downtown Spokane's craft beer and dining scene coming soon in a historic building. Construction is happening now to open the new River Rock Taphouse on the ground floor of Chronicle Building at 926 W. Sprague. The new taphouse takes the place that once was once the Spokane Chronicle newspaper printing room and remains outfitted in the original tile pillars and molding, with the addition of outdoor décor.
River Rock Taphouse will offer 32 craft beers on tap and 8 wines, ciders and Kombucha's . Local craft beer offerings will be a highlight of the River Rock, but they plan a delicious food menu as well that will be available during all business hours. The Kitchen will serve an array of appetizers, main dishes, salads and sharables. More on that soon.
The new business will also have beverages to go with 32oz howlers and 64oz growlers available. They plan to host some events , live acoustic performers, tap takeovers and the like. They'll also offer a special event room that's bookable for gatherings like birthdays, holiday events, book clubs, sports events, etc...
River Rock Taphouse's owners Mike and Denise Magee say they are very excited to open, and are humbled, grateful and appreciative for the opportunity to be part of Spokane's craft beverage family. No exact opening date is set yet but they hope to open soon and will be open Sun-Thurs. 11am- 10pm and Fri-Sat 11am- 11pm.
