Bark will be in the old Broadview Dairy Building at 905 N. Washington, just north of Downtown Spokane. The space was last used as another restaurant called The Blackbird. Bark's mission is to be an extension of the adoption process at the Spokane Humane Society. The guests can interact with cats and dogs either before or after dining or drinks. Visitors will experience " elevated pub food " knowing their dining experience is providing help to a local animal shelter.
" Josh has a way of identifying unique opportunities for our community and we couldn't be more excited to partner with him and his fiancé" says Terena Thi, director of development and communications at the Spokane Humane Society .
The shelter dogs and cats will have their own team of caretakers and will live in a their own separate area, that's still accessible from the restaurant. They say this will give guests an interactive experience to meet, fall in love and maybe adopt a new pet.
