Spokane Humane Society's 20th annual Parade of Paws, a fun and family friendly community event aimed at raising funds to support animals in need will take place on Saturday, June 17th. The event is to take place at the Humane Society at 6607 N. Havana, and will feature a 2–4 mile pledge walk, music, photo bus experience with Eternal Sunshine Photobus , vegan coffee stand by Enchanted Espresso, sweet treats from Ben & Jerry's, pastries from Main Market Co-op, Bouncy house fun, a vendor fair, SPD K-9, District 9's fire engine, best-dressed metals, and awards ceremony to celebrate indviduals and teams who compete to raise the most.
Participants can register as individuals or form teams and virtually fundraise to then walk with friends, family, and coworkers on event day. The $25 registration fee gets a participant an event t-shirt and swag bag from the event sponsors. Registrants are also invited to join in on a Parade of Paws Kickoff Party at Bark, a rescue pub on Wed. 6/14 from 5-8p.
Funds raised from the Parade of Paws will go directly to help cover the costs to care and provide for cats and dogs in need of shelter, food, enrichment, spays/neuters, vaccinations and medical attention until successfully rehomed.
