Buffalo Exchange, the original buy/sell/trade clothing store is coming soon to Downtown Spokane at 407 W. Main. And they recently announced the store is set to open to the public on August 18th.
Shoppers will find a curated selection of everyday styles, contemporary trends, vintage treasures and designer pieces at affordable prices. "We couldn't be more excited to move into Spokane" said Rebecca Block, vice president of Buffalo Exchange. "We fell in love with the area when my daughter went to school here. When we first found the location on Main Ave. - it immediately felt like home. The historic building looks incredibly similar to the first Buffalo Exchange store, which opened in 1974 in Tucson, AZ."
Buffalo Exchange stores make the selling process easy for those looking to clean out closets. For anything they're able to purchase, customers can choose between taking home 25% of the selling price in cash or 50% in store credit on the spot. Those who opt for store credit can shop that same day or take a trade card for later, which never expires.
Beyond their commitment to recycling clothing, Buffalo Exchange says they are committed to environmental sustainability and giving back to the communities their stores are a part of. Instead of single-use bags, the store offers customers .05 cent to one of three rotating local non-profits though their "Tokens for bags" program. Since 1994. the company has raised over $926,025 for thousands of non-profits. The first Spokane organizations to participate will be 2nd Chance Ranch, Our Place Community Outreach and Spokane Riverkeeper
