Dozer Day, a family friendly event celebrating construction and community is planned for this upcoming weekend, the first weekend in May. Dozer Day is the regions premiere event for kids and adults alike to explore the fascinating world of construction and heavy machinery.
NCUA of Eastern WA & North Idaho partners with generous sponsors for the event that will be held May 4th & 5th at Cabela's State Line. The event allows kids to be on and even operate heavy equipment with dozers, backhoes, loaders and more! "This event is about bringing the community together and providing a unique construction themed educational experience for kids" says Sherri Nowlan, the event's organizer. "It's a chance for them to learn about the trades, careers in construction, safety, and the importance of teamwork in a hands on environment. We're thrilled to offer this opportunity to our community in Eastern Washington and North Idaho"
Event highlights include hands-on experiences, educational exhibits and fun for the whole family with food vendors, games and activities designed for all ages. Proceeds from the event also go on to support local charities, as well as area high schools and educational programs within the community.
